Education and Outreach Task Team

Promoting Best Practices in Education and Outreach for Amphibian and Reptile Conservation in the Southeast

Task Team Purpose

The purpose of the Education & Outreach Working Group is to teach and distribute PARC messages (habitat conservation, cooperation among agencies, endangered species conservation, “keeping common native species common”, etc.) through educational products and public outreach. The group is focused on “best practices” and “tried and true” methods for educating diverse audiences about amphibian and reptile conservation in the Southeast.

We are currently trying to build a network of volunteer herp educators in the Southeast to help fill education requests we receive from our website. If you are interested in volunteering to conduct educational programs on behalf of SEPARC, please use the contact page to get in touch with us. Please provide full name, phone number, preferred e-mail, state, and closest city (or metropolitan area) in your message. You may also provide information about your background and experience with amphibian and reptile conservation education. Since educating on behalf of SE PARC is strictly voluntary, you may also wish to include other details such as a maximum distance you are willing to travel or preferred days you may be available to do outreach. We look forward to hearing from you!
