Enhancing Cross-jurisdictional Partnerships to Confront the Illicit Turtle Trade in the Southeastern United States

Are you a registered workshop attendee looking for the workshop web platform? Visit here, and check your email for login details.

The Partners in Amphibian & Reptile Conservation’s (PARC) Turtle Networking Team and Southeast PARC (SEPARC) are hosting a free two-day workshop—open to State, Federal, and Tribal law enforcement officers and biologists—to provide time and space to share information, network, develop new intra- and inter-agency partnerships, and identify next steps in addressing issues related to the illegal collection, trafficking, and confiscation of terrestrial and freshwater turtles and tortoises in the Southeastern United States. This workshop is completely virtual and will take place from February 24th–25th, 2021—immediately prior to SEPARC’s annual meeting, which is also virtual.

If you would like to register for this free online workshop, please submit your information using the link above. Note that this workshop is closed to the general public, and only registrations from State, Federal, and Tribal law enforcement officers and biologists from Southeastern states (as defined by PARC, these include NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR, TN, and KY) will be accepted. (Note that although previous save-the-dates suggested a limitation on the number of attendees per agency, this is no longer required.) If you are a law enforcement officer or agency biologist from outside of this region and would like for us to consider an exception, please email us at separc@separc.org.
